Od kiedy należy liczyć 12 miesięcy usługi?

Chodzi mi o aws. Czy to jest tak, że mogę mieć założone konto od 6 miesięcy i się nie martwić?
Np konto mam 6 miesiąc i nagle "otwieram" usługę, która jest za darmo przez 12 miesięcy.
Bo dla mnie jest raczej logiczne, że mogę mieć konto nawet 3 lata, a usługę "12 miesięcy" uruchomić
dopiero po 3 latach i dopiero od tego momentu licznik czasu bije.
Dobrze myślę?
edit: Usiłuję wymyślić jakieś hasła angielskie, żeby to jakoś wygooglać, ale trochę mi brakuje pomysłu pod czym to może być.
