Microsoft VB.Net Winforms Developer

As a Microsoft VB.Net Winforms Developer you will be engaged working together with an existing project team which takes on responsibility for a portfolio of small to mid-sized applications and is working in various roles along the full application lifecycle: development, integration, testing, documentation, maintenance, support and decommissioning.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing the existing VB6 application and migrating the functionality to VB.Net
• Analyzing root-causes in case of incidents and providing solutions for solving the problem
• Supporting the business in case of effort estimations and feasibility studies
• Performing code reviews and sharing best practices with colleagues

Requirements:

• Software Development experience
• Ability to work in an independent, systematic and structured manner
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to display initiative and commitment
• Good communication skills
• Very good command of English (oral and written)
• Technology
o VB.Net with Visual Studio 2012 (Winforms)
o Windows Service Development
o Host- and Oracle Service connections

Nice to have:

• Experience in financial Industries (e.g. Banking)
• Ability to travel (>6 months in Zürich, Switzerland)
• Technology
o Packaging (MSI)
o Team Foundation Server (TFS) and/or Subversion
