Currently we are looking for Lead Platform Architect to join one of the biggest banks in Cracow!

Compliance IT brings together all areas of financial crime risk management and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards to combat financial crime.
In 2018, we started an ambitious programme to migrate applications onto Cloud.
This included an exciting programme that will improve financial crime risk management by moving away from a traditional rule-based approach, to using machine learning and advanced analytics. This will identify more financial crime, with less noise, more quickly.
This role will support the system implementation & future roadmap and is a hands-on role.

Your responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a wider team (40 - 60 people) – you will provide technical leadership working alongside colleagues in engineering, product management and security capabilities to design solutions of the highest quality which meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Use technology for positive impact – you will keep apprised of the latest technologies and ensure we employ them appropriately for maximum user and business benefit.
  • Support your colleagues and foster a DevOps culture in all that you do by embodying the values.
  • Accountable for ensuring products & services are supported by the right architectures, and solutions meet the customer needs
  • Accountable for ensuring the product designs are cost effective and maintained through the agile development lifecycle, managing the flow of the backlog of design activities.
  • Working with Ops Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc) are resolved and that any design related issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Convert requirements into actionable product/service requirements that feed Technology solutions development & influence service direction.
  • Responsible for ensuring solutions are aligned with the platform architecture and roadmap, group standards and policies and the overall enterprise architecture for their function.
  • Promoting inner sourcing to improve reuse and improve the efficiency of development.

Requirements:
  • Designing, building, testing, automating, monitoring and supporting modern digital service platforms in production environments
  • Strong working knowledge of GCP, AWS or Azure
  • Experience using industry standard DevOps CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins/Github/Nexus/ArgoCD etc)
  • Experience using automation tools, and proficiency in at least one of the following: Terraform, Kustomize/Helm, Ansible, Python, Go
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes
  • Proven production service troubleshooting skills that span applications, systems and network within a primarily Linux environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization, and develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Driving – setting stretching goals for self and teams and delivering them with courage and tenacity
  • Mobilizing – authentically engaging with team, colleagues and business partners to deliver at pace
  • Management of technical releases, in both waterfall and agile projects
  • Process definition and continuous improvement of processes
  • Understanding of change frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques
  • Strong experience with changes being made to existing live systems, increasing criticality of planning, and risk management.
  • Exposure to and understanding of a broad range of technologies
  • Systems integration experience
  • Communication with and support of technical delivery across multiple locations and time zones.
Optional:
  • Understanding and appreciation of Machine Learning/Artifical Intelligence tooling
  • Experience delivering Compliance and Regulatory-based projects including AML, Transaction Monitoring, Client Onboarding and Screening
  • Understanding of external environments e.g. regulatory, competitors
