Hexagon is seeking a talented and experienced c# developer to work as part of a multi-faceted scrum team supporting our large and technically sophisticated Geospatial and Utility solution suites. Desktop .Net developer will work as a part of the Global Product Center located in USA on software products based on Windows and Oracle. He will join GPC local Polish team located in Warsaw.
Primary duties will include reviewing and refining software requirements, designing software for new functionality, and writing and testing quality code for. The candidate will also be expected to prepare software developers documentation, write and support unit tests and automated tests. Other duties will include analyzing and correcting software defects reported by the support team. The candidate will cooperate with product owners, other scrum team members as well as with the support team and other global development teams.
Working with Hexagon GPC the candidate will obtain advanced knowledge of application software architecture and development as well as Oracle PL/SQL experience and experience with advanced GIS (Geospatail Information Systems) utility data processing and data modeling. The candidate will gain also considerable experience in the use of modern software development languages (e.g., C#, .Net frameworks, as well as geospatial software usage and concepts).
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience in software development industry
- Experience with C# in a Microsoft Visual Studio environment
- Background in object-oriented programming (OOP) and the software development life cycle
- Expertise with relational database modelling, SQL and the development of stored procedures, packages, and triggers
- Sound problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Good English language skills (written and spoken)
- Knowledge and experience with: HTTP(S), WCF, ASP.NET Web API, MVC, JSON, JavaScript Frameworks, non-RESTful and RESTful webservices, Ext JS, CSS Frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap), HTML 5 will be an additional advantage
- Geospatial information systems knowledge and experience with Oracle Locator/Spatial will be an additional advantage
