Job Description
As a Joivy back-end developer, you will have overall responsibility and ownership of the back-end platform behind the Joivy Platform. You will be working with a stack consisting of Python hosted on the Google Cloud Platform, communicating data to our React/RxJS front-end through a RESTful/GraphQL API.

You're highly passionate about programming with a proven track record of writing beautiful and maintainable Python code. You always strive to follow best practices and document your code. You work well in a small organization, where you enjoy managing your own projects as well as being a part of creating the workflows that are adapted to you and to the rest of the organization. You find the opportunity to build something new and taking pride in your architectural decisions exciting.
We would like to speak to anyone who has worked in places where micro-services were handled well and who also enjoys sharing his/her learnings and experience.
Required Skills
- You have worked on web based projects with proven results.
- Python.
- NoSQL knowledge.
- Knowledge of the data management eco-system including: Concepts of data warehousing, ETL, data integration, etc.
- Strong experience with authorization, access control (SSO, OpenID Connect) and OAuth 2.0
- MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Experience in computer science, data structures, algorithms and software design.
- Experience with unit testing and TDD.
- Comfortable with Flask / Django or similar frameworks.
- Minimum of 4-6yrs back-end experience
