Our client is a specialist in innovative software and hardware design, system integration and strategic research. Because of the intensive development of the company we are looking for an employee to the position of:
Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Localization: Wroclaw
Nr Ref: ESE/WR/100/2016
You will:
* Participate in the design, planning, development, debugging and integration of embedded software modules for a new generation of Digital TV STBs,
* Report to a Technical Lead or Project Manager.
Essential skills:
* Strong experience with C, C++ or Java in an embedded Linux or Android environment
* Strong debug and problem solving skills using the latest tools
* Fluent English
* Experienced developing and debugging multithreaded and/or multiprocess code
* Ability to understand complex issues and discuss them via phone, email and other methods
* Flexible, can-do approach
Experience of any of the following will strengthen your application:
* UML diagramming
* C++11, STL or frameworks such as Qt
* Linux kernel, drivers, GCC, GDB
* TDD and Unit Testing frameworks such as Google Test, Mockito, JUnit and similar
* Software development for consumer electronics or TV
* Audio/Video/TV standards
* Networking protocols and standards including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, UPnP, DLNA, HLS or MPEG-DASH
* Agile, Scrum methodologies
* Consultancy or other customer facing role
