Senior Engineer in Test

DESCRIPTION

Azimo is looking for open-minded and experienced Software Engineer in Test to join our Engineering team in Kraków.

We build worldwide money transfer products and are iteratively improving the quality of our software and development processes. We are migrating our backend platform from PHP monolith to heterogeneous (JAVA, SCALA, PHP, GoLang) Service Oriented Architecture. We need someone who will become valuable member of our team, and will bring us solid experience in test automation and Behavior-Driven Development.

What you'll be working on:

Working in cross-functional team, developing complex software products in Service Oriented Architecture,
Providing Q&A support to the Devs, with an Agile mindset, applying domain-driven design and Behavior-Driven Development,
Automate tests using test frameworks and writing tools to help the team deliver high quality software,
Translating product requirements into executable specifications,
Take the ownership for testing policies in the company and set the standard sky high.

As Senior Software Engineer in Test you should be an expert in most of the following areas:

software testing - building test plans, creating test cases and debugging code,
test automation - deep knowledge in automation frameworks and improving developers’ productivity,
testing complex asynchronous and event driven systems,
software Craftsmanship (TDD, SOLID, KISS, design patterns),
deep understanding of the Service Oriented and Microservices Architectures,
strong familiarity with RESTful design principles,
understanding of modern CI/CD process (ex. Git Flow or Atlassian toolset),
experience in building highly-scalable software in JVM based technologies (Java 8, Scala),
experience in data processing and analytic (SQL and NoSQL databases, Apache tools ex. Kafka, Hadoop, Spark...).
