As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be expected to perform all of the above while also representing and advocating for high quality in all aspects of project work. You will be expected to participate in reviews at various stages of the development cycle and work closely with other teams to deliver high quality products.
Skills & Requirements
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst that:
Is a self-starter who can work independently from home without a micromanaging boss
Has superb written and oral communication skills
Pays close attention to detail
Has 2-5 years experience in testing software
Has excellent problem solving skills
Has experience creating and executing test plans and test cases based off specs and other documentation
The ideal candidate should also:
Have the hardware and software to do their job, a fast and stable internet connection and a place where they can work uninterrupted
Have a working knowledge of screen editing, capturing and sharing software
Can communicate solely via Skype, Slack and email to hit the ground running
Have some knowledge of the current technologies and standards in the testing world (preferably in regards to the mobile app and web industries)
Also desired (but not required):
Experience testing web apps and mobile apps
A conceptual understanding of code (not language specific). Example: be able to describe the basic function of a piece of code
An understanding of how client/server applications interact with one another
Experience running database queries
