Hi guys.
I have been working in Luxoft as Senior BigData Developer for about 1.5 years. The recruitment process is standard: short call with HR, technical interview with Luxoft developer (1-to-1), interview with a customer team (can be half technical, a half general one, depending on the customer), a final call with HR partner and future line manager. The following communication will depend on the ability of both sides to come to an agreement. For me, it was one of the most convenient recruitment processes as the whole campaign was finished in two weeks (not a month or even more).
The pluses:
- Variety of internal projects. You can change a project once in 6 months. The process is quite easy but includes internal technical interviews and interviews with customers. I did it after almost a year on the first project.
- Good beneficial package and bonuses. The medical pack covers good command of stomatological procedures. I have packs to compare.
- Remote work, at least I did not meet a colleague who was forced to visit the office. You have such an opportunity but are not obliged to.
- Equipment is quite good. I got Lenovo ThinkPad laptop and ThinkVision monitor and am quite satisfied.
The minuses:
- Managers are changed quite often. I have my fourth one.
- The year review is extremely slow. I got my reward in August while the year review call was in March.
- Difficult to get places on training as places are quickly booked. Difficult to get approval for training if it is scheduled during working hours (but all courses have such a schedule).
- There is no time that you can use for education. 8 hours per day are working hours.
Hope someone will find it helpful.
