[BŁĄD] error: size of array ‘table’ is too large - jak rozwiązać?

Witam,
Mam problem z kompilacją kodu zawartego w break-short.c.
Korzystam ze środowiska Linux WSL (Ubuntu 16.04 zainstalowanego na Windows Server 2019) z GCC 7.3.0
Kompilacje przeprowadzam poniższą komendą, która przeprowadza kompilację bezproblemowo w przypadku gdzie część kodu to #define GSTEP (1<<25) ):

gcc -o break-short.exe -O2 -I secp256k1/src/ -I secp256k1/ break_short.c -lgmp

Przy zmianie tej części na #define GSTEP (1UL<<60) cały kod wygląda tak jak poniżej:

Pierwotna wersja Twojego kodu tworzy tablicę o rozmiarze 2^25 * 2 * sizeof(hashtable_entry), co daje jakieś 2^25 * 2 * 8 / 1024 / 1024 = 512 MB - znośnie.

Policz sobie sam jak dużo RAMu potrzebowałbyś jednak dla 2^60 i dlaczego nie jest to możliwe ;-)
