Job description IBM Systems Middleware Smarter Process team is an elite consultancy focusing on the definition and delivery of high quality software solutions to clients in response to complex business and technical requirements, from scope through to release.
Solution architects in this job role will analyze, design and guide implementing business processes using the IBM Business Process Management middleware and work on integration of applications and software systems. Typical examples of the deliverables are building proof-of-concept systems and enterprise-level solutions for our customers around the world. In addition, they perform health checks of existing product installations, review implementation projects, consult our customers with best practices and help resolve critical customer situations with their competence.
We are seeking experienced professionals with skills in the following areas:
Demonstrated hands-on experience with delivering solutions design and implementation in an enterprise environment
Expert-level knowledge of commonly used architecture frameworks and design patterns with demonstrated technical leadership in building scalable, high performance enterprise products
Thorough understanding of service oriented architecture (SOA) concepts.
Preferably hands-on skills on IBM products, including Business Process Manager, Operations Decision Manager, Liberty, Websphere Application Server Network Deployment and/or IBM DB2
Client Consultancy skills
Good candidates should also bring the following:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills (e.g. ability to conduct customer facing "whiteboard" sessions and lead technical planning sessions)
Thorough understanding of agile software development methodology and industry best practices
Ability to work and perform technical research independently
Time management with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Desire to constantly learn and develop technical breadth across multiple technical domains; committed to completing a formal IBM Architect certification training path
Ability to accommodate extensive international travel and work abroad
