Our primary server OS is CentOS although we also run a small amount of Windows. The web stack is based on HAProxy, Varnish, Apache, Tomcat and PostgreSQL and our preferred virtualisation and storage stack uses VMware and NetApp. You'll be using technologies such as Bcfg2 (with a custom layer on top), 389 Directory Server, NAGIOS, Graphite, NESSUS and Snort together with, of course, a bunch of custom shell, Python and Perl scripts to glue everything together.
