Our client, technology-focused mobile gaming company, building the best global real-time MMOs, is looking for the Technical Artist.
The team in Hamburg, Germany, is mainly focused on developing 3D technology for the next generation of games.The technical Artist will work closely with the tools engineers and artists to optimize and deliver in-game features and content.

• Be the primary link between engineering, design and art to solve integration, performance and functionality challenges as they arise
• Develop and Document pipelines for asset production across all art disciplines as well as provide excellent, clear and timely communication of solutions
• Develop tools and scripts to streamline processes for artists, as well as expedite exporting of assets from Maya to into our proprietary engine
• Provide tech support and develop content creation guidelines for the art team to ensure a proper asset creation and integration
• Maintain and create naming conventions, art repository, tools and scripts for the art team
• Demonstrate, communicate and exemplify clear expectations for quality of work, productivity and communication to the teams
• Show a strong passion for customer service and satisfaction
• Take initiative and be willing to expand own horizon

• Minimum 4 years experiences in technical art creation
• Experiences in using art software like Maya, Max, Zbrush, Mudbox, Photoshop, or similar
• Practical knowledge of 3D modeling, UV mapping, character rigging, rendering, lighting
• Ability to write scripts in either PYTHON, MEL, LUA as standalone scripts or plugins for Maya and photoshop
• Experiences with art outsourcing and high volume art production techniques
• Understanding of the differences in technology and user experience between mobile, console, and pc games
• Deep knowledge of all facets of game art creation
• Experience with technical details of 3D asset creation for mobile platforms
• Ability to quickly identify needed improvements to existing workflows, pipelines, performance, and tools and provide effective and accurate solutions
• Must be able to set up character and creature rigs in Maya
• Very good English language skills

• Experience working with game engine tools
• Experience and advanced knowledge of project management tools such as Perforce
• Experience with other scripting languages: Bash, Ruby etc
