Systems and Network Administrator [Remote work]

An exciting new opportunity has become available: For our client, an eCommerce company present in Europe and the US, we are looking for an experience and committed IT Systems and Network Administrator to focus on the development and maintenance of systems and infrastructure.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and maintenance of production and test infrastructure
• Development of detailed designs within the server environment
• Performing advanced diagnosis on incidents
• Implementing changes to the server environment
• Management of system performance, capacity, service quality
• Designing and implementing network, security and backup solutions
• Maintain and develop monitoring tools
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
• Drive technology standardization in new and existing environments
• Communicate effectively with other IT team members
• Troubleshooting of all IT related equipment such as PCs, printers and other end user devices
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all user software
• Install and configure different software packages, hardware devices and other peripherals
• Providing tier 1 support for users
• Perform regular maintenance/updating operating systems

Experience and Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science / IT (or equivalent experience)
• At least 2 years experience in a similar position
• Hands-on experience with Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) systems
• Good knowledge of Linux OS architecture
• Knowledge of other operating systems such as Windows including workstations
• Ability to support users remotely and on site
• Experience in working with Shell scripting – BASH, Perl or similar
• Good knowledge of backup and restore strategies
• Good knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, routing, WiFi, VPN etc)
• Good knowledge of MySQL RDBMS
• Hands-on experience with Apache server
• General knowledge of Magento system
• Good knowledge of Version Control Systems like SVN, Git
• Experience in working with hardware – PCs & Servers
• Experience in working with Email Linux based system
