Is Poland a good country to immigrate to?

I actually moved to Poland from the US and I am super happy here, so the short answer to your question is: Yes! Awesome country.

Here are the details:

While Poland has very homogeneous demographics (read: WWII), they are possibly the most welcoming people ever. Some people are quite religious but they won’t shove it down your throat.

I have to agree with others on Polish being an extremely hard language to learn. However, after a year of being here, I am able to communicate for the most part so it isn’t impossible either. Also people really appreciate your effort and will go the extra mile to help you out.

Salaries are on the low end but prices are also significantly lower than in the US, so it ends up balancing out.

As for English, everyone under 30 speaks it without a problem.

The only thing I recommend you, is to come with an unlimited supply of patience as the bureaucracy here is an absolute nightmare and you will end up waiting for hours just to get simple things done.

Nie jesteś imigrantką z USA, więc pewnie Polacy traktują cię inaczej. Wiele razy zauważyłem, że przybyszów z bogatszych krajów traktuje się w Polsce lepiej niż rodaków. Podejrzewam, że działa to też w drugą stronę, tzn przybyszów z biedniejszych krajów traktuje się gorzej.
