Wymagania

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Able to gain good knowledge of existing implemented solutions and provide technical advice, guidance and assistance to colleagues
• Identify and facilitate opportunities for continuous improvement in the product, process and service
• Create and QA effective documentation to facilitate maintenance and support of developed products
• Work closely with other IT teams, to identify and resolve problems as required
• Strong adherence to quality processes, understanding of the right first time approach and able to review code to ensure quality controls are in place
• Able to work with internal customers to establish/validate application requirements. Understands that colleagues in the business are customers and adopts a Service Excellence ethos. Able to communicate effectively with non technical staff
• Can understand and document basic business processes and evaluate how the use of software / applications could improve processes. Supports creation of testing scenarios to demonstrated that development activity has delivered expected benefits

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years' experience in the IT industry with demonstrable experience of working within support and development functions in a predominantly Java based environment
• Capable of delivering excellent results under tight deadlines
• Apache Tomcat configuration experience is essential
• Any exposure to Alfresco Content Management solution highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of the Spring framework
• Experience of using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) such as Eclipse required
• Experience of IBM DB2, Oracle, MSSQL or MySQL would be advantageous.
• Commercial knowledge of Java J2EE
• Good understanding of XML/XSD schemas
• Experience of Java Template engines, such as FreeMarker is desirable
• Good knowledge of application deployment and support on Linux and Windows platforms is essential
• Possess good written and verbal communication skills and is able to work effectively with peers and colleagues from within Technology
• Excellent team player and also able to work under own initiative
• Capable of engaging effectively with customers to establish requirements
• Commitment to maintain a high-performance, service and solution-orientated culture
