As part of the StepStone Group, an online recruitment advertising business, the position will be based in Warsaw with a direct reporting line into Totaljobs Group Technology management, based in London. Totaljobs belongs to the StepStone Group and represents the largest and fastest growing online recruitment business in the UK, as well as being a Top 10 player in the sector worldwide. Today The Totaljobs Group business comprises 7 recruitment sites - CareerStructure.com, Caterer.com, Catererglobal.com, CWJobs.co.uk, RetailChoice.com, Salestarget.co.uk, and Totaljobs.com – which between them attract a high number of visits and applications.

You will work in a team of professionals working on extending and improving the functionality of our job boards. Together you will brainstorm possible solutions, design the architecture, implement business logic write new and refactor existing code to meet future extension needs.

The post-holder will play a pivotal role on the SCRUM team, with accountability for leading solution design and technical quality assurance. They will work collaboratively with local team members (Developers, QA, Business Analyst and Scrum Master) and a London-based Product Owner.

Frequent communication with London-based colleagues, stakeholders and subject matter experts is a key requirement of the Senior Java Developer role and there will be regular travel to the UK.

Your responsibilities: Design, code and refine business solutions.
Write clean, scalable and easy-to-maintain code.

Code refactoring when necessary.

Asses work needed to deliver the product and keep your deadlines.

We expect from you:

Experience in TDD.
Experience with the whole variety of tests (unit, integration, and acceptance/BDD/Cucumber).
Solid Java programming skills (Java 8).
Solid Java Persistence Api usage skills.
Solid Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data, MVC).
Knowledge of other related technologies is a plus (Git, Maven, Liquibase, Atlassian tools, JetBrains IDE, ElasticSearch/Logstash/Kibana).
Experience in creating RESTful Services.
Minimum 5 years of professional programing experience in Java.
Ability to occasionally travel abroad in business.
Experience in working in an Agile environment (Scrum).
Very Good command of English.
