Please note this position is based in Kraków, but is remote (you can work from home, a co-working centre, or wherever you work best!). Working hours are flexible, however we'd like you to be available from 10AM to 6PM CET, Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call periods.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Take layered PSDs or HTML/CSS and develop them into fast, flexible and robust websites and web applications that perform smoothly across all platforms
Work in collaboration with both Canada and Europe-based designers, project managers and QA specialists to deliver projects
Clearly and concisely communicate highly technical challenges and solutions to non-technical team members and clients
Build solid back-end architectures that integrate easily with other systems and technologies
Test and retest everything to ensure cross-device and cross-browser compatibility (including IE)
Provide technical support to existing Vordik clientele
Understand design patterns and write reusable, modular code
Have a superior attention to detail and a strong ability to Q/A your own work
YOUR REQUIREMENTS:
You are reliable, and dedicated to what you do
You have intermediate to advanced knowledge of W3C-Valid HTML5, CSS3 and JS
You have strong experience with back-end languages including PHP (Yii and/or Symfony) and Ruby on Rails
You have some experience working with PHP-based Content Management Systems (including WordPress and/or Drupal)
You have a never-ending love for clean, modular, efficient, CoC and DRY code
You are familiar with cross-browser and cross-platform development, and you always ensure your code works across all
You are knowledgeable of the techniques and best practices of responsive web development
You are experienced with Scrum and Agile development methodologies
You have knowledge and comfort working with source control (particularly Git)
You have strong written and spoken English, and great interpersonal communication skills
You are obsessed with details, which means making sure both design and code look great and work perfectly
You know how to have fun!
