Senior Java Application Developer

n this role you will be responsible for developing funding software for the UBS Investment Bank which is seeking a developer/programmer with strong quantitative and analytical skills. You will work as a member of its Application Delivery Financing Team which offers you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and teamwork and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth. You will have a chance to collaborate with global teams, including opportunities to travel to the UK and the US. The role is located in the UBS office in Zabierzów (Kraków Business Park).

Wymagania

Responsibilities:
• Developing funding software applications
• Participating in all phases of software development cycle from initial requirements, implementation and final quality assurance
• Working with business users and operations team to understand their business needs and addressing production questions
• Collaborating with developers in the same team and other teams to achieve development goals
• Guiding the future evolution of the system product Requirements:
• Very good written and spoken English
• Good SDLC and application lifecycle management skills
• Core Java advanced skills
• Spring, Hibernate or other Java frameworks
• Oracle and Sybase experience
• Good SQL tuning skills (understanding of hints, explain plan, indexes, and stats)
• Exposure to many recent technologies and DevOps concepts would be a plus
• Previous team leadership role experience
• Hands on experience with a great drive and team-orientation
• Strong communication skills with proven experience in collaborative environments
• Results-driven approach and ability to deliver good quality accurate solutions to tight time-scales

Additional assets:
• Proven experience in software development for a financial industry
• TeamCity, Maven/Ant and other Continuous Integration tools knowledge
• Exposure to many recent technologies and DevOps concepts
