Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Scala Developer to join our backend team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic developer eager to learn and grow his/her skills in the field. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Scala development experience
  • 2+ years of Big Data experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Agile/Scrum development cycle understanding
  • Thorough understanding of NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or HBase
  • Understanding Spark, Akka, Storm
  • Hadoop, HBase, and/or MapReduce experience
  • Proficiency in Linux environment
  • Knowledge working closely with git
  • Excellent communication skills and being able to work independently or in a full team
  • Experience in test automation and test-driven development
  • Experience with AWS/EC2, or other cloud services
  • Experience with Play framework
