Job description
As a Digital Experience Engineer, you will
- Develop all the layers of application infrastructure
- Work independently to code accurately and according to standards
- Typically, work on medium to high complexity tasks/projects
- Support execution of best practices, coding techniques, and standards as driven by Senior Engineers
- Ensure all delivered solutions meet Oracle quality and security standards
- Ensure all work estimates are accurate and all assumptions are communicated clearly
- Get engaged in Client communication in regards to solution architecture, requirements, level of effort as well as in-cycle updates or issues
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in native Javascript programming
- Experience in:
- front-end frameworks, tools, and libraries: React, KnockoutJS, Angular
- back-end frameworks, tools, and libraries: Node.js, Express, KOA
- You are familiar with Grunt and/or Gulp web pack
- Your approach to development assumes TDD and BDD
- You are experienced in interacting with RESTful services
- Ideally:
- you have commercial experience of developing web applications using Java 8, Spring, REST and relational databases
- You had exposure to NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB
- You are familiar with Redis, Docker, NGINX, MySQL and log management techniques
- You have experience with DevOps processes (CI/CD) e.g. Jenkins, Hudson, Maven and deployment pipelines
- You are aware of and apply web application security techniques
- You are proficient in delivering innovative Mobile, Cloud and AI solutions using PaaS solutions such as Oracle PaaS, AWS, MSFT Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
- You are enthusiastic and interested about latest Digital technologies like IoT, Geofencing, Blockchain, Chatbot, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, AI/Machine Learning, TensorFlow and Augmented Reality
- Knowledge of Oracle JET is preferred but not essential
- Experience with Oracle products is desired but not essential
- Experience with DevOps, agile and lean development and Continuous Delivery methodologies and practices is desired
- Ideally, you are comfortable with direct communication with stakeholders on the external Client end
- You are familiar with project/issue tracking systems such as Jira as well as collaboration/wiki tools such as Confluence
- You are educated to an undergraduate degree or greater level. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
