Hexagon is seeking a talented and experienced developer to work on multiple mobile Public Safety products. We are using an InnerSource based development process which fosters distributed development within a technical community. You will be a member of the community able to contribute to multiple projects. The immediate focus is on mobile development including device applications and a cloud based mobile platform.
Primary duties will include contributing to our mobile development projects by writing secure, clean, maintainable and robust code. You will be expected to work with other contributors in design meetups and technical discussions where you are expected to offer your opinion and advice as needed. As part of our development process test-driven development is required, as well as knowledge of architectural and coding best practices. Contributors are expected to be self-motivated professionals accustomed to working in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Trusted contributors are expected to mentor others, provide code reviews and approve pull requests.
Working with Hexagon GPC the candidate will obtain advanced knowledge of and experience with mobile application development and cloud based PaaS offerings in the Public Safety domain.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Mobile development
- Good understanding of Native SDK for both iOS and Android devices
- JavaScript, JQuery
- Programming experience in an Object-Oriented language
- Developing against a Relational Database
- Good understanding of MVC and Pub/Sub type patterns
- Good understanding of Native SDK for both iOS and Android devices
- React and or Xamarin development experience
- Leaflet experience
