Chatham Tech Team is looking for interns willing to gain practical experience in software development.
What will you be doing?
You will be embedded within one of the Technology teams at Chatham Kraków that focus on Engineering, Financial Modeling or Product Development. You will be assigned to a development project and work alongside experienced engineers to see how software is developed, tested and released in a professional environment.
Working closely with a dedicated mentor will give you the opportunity to add value to the team and contribute to a project focusing on one of the below areas. Which project seems most interesting for you?
• Developer tooling: you will be responsible for building application for internal clients (developers) that would allow them to visually trace data in a distributed environment. From the technology standpoint, this means working (or getting familiar) with words like: .NET, C#, REST, WCF, SOAP, ServiceStack, RabbitMQ, HAProxy, JetBrains, JSON, XML, TPL, Git, Authentication, SQL.
• DevOps tooling: You will help us pave the way for more reliable, scalable and faster platform management software. We virtualize a lot (docker, containerization), provide service high-availability (HAProxy, Consul) and work with cutting-edge data access technologies (Redis, Elasticsearch). That is a unique opportunity to learn things that are not taught at the university. Scripting (Python, Go, PowerShell), virtual environment management (AWS, docker) and building deployment pipelines (GitLab, TeamCity, C#/.NET). Lots of activities with one common denominator – logical thinking and passion for technology.
• Application development: developing single page applications for internal clients. You would be primarily working with AngularJS/Angular, HTML, CSS, SASS, TypeScript, C#.
