Key responsibilities:
- Liaise with stakeholders to arrange downtime windows and provide information required for change management;
- Resolving any issues discovered post remount and initiating corrective action plans as appropriate;
- Unmount and mount volumes to facilitate the NAS Migration cutover
- Communicate complex technical issues to business users in a language they understand;
- Engineering solutions and participation in projects implementation in Linux area;
- Trouble-shooting and problem solving of complex issues;
- Reduction of faults, root cause analysis;
- Knowledge of Veritas product suite including Volume Manager and Cluster Server;
- Knowledge and understanding of naming services such as Active Directory/LDAP/CentrifyDC;
- Knowledge of HP, IBM hardware up to enterprise level;
- Standard office automation products (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Able to work remotely as required;
- Prior experience in large scale enterprise infrastructure support
- Experience of Linux Systems Administration to a certifiable level;
- Strong team player skills;
- Able to work with sense of urgency under multiple deadlines and successfully organize and complete tasks with minimal supervision;
