Unified Event Management is a team which is responsible for designing, developing and testing of application for fault management of network devices. We are running light process using Agile (Scrum and SAFe). We have just started new Web based product with an ultimate goal to move to cloud-ready solution based on micro-services. So far our product is developed in Java SE with J2EE components and third-party management framework WebNMS, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, Hibernate and web based front-end (JavaScript, Backbone.js, etc)
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
- design, implementation and testing Fault Management product being part of the public safety communication systems
- passionate person with Java experience to join one of our scrum team eager to help us to move our product into cloud and DevOps approach
- result orientation and ability to execute assigned responsibilities and tasks with minimum supervision following modern development life-cycle processes
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related field
- 3+ years experience in developing software products in jvm ecosystem
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills
- Willingness to learn and explore new technologies and solutions
- Experience in Git and Maven
Knowledge of any of the below will be of additional benefit:
- JavaScript programming, AngularJS, React.JS
- Experience in Docker framework
- DevOps, Microservices and Cloud technology experience
- Experience in ClearCase
- Experience in Jenkins
