Responsibilities:              
  • Setup and maintenance of servers for our product sites as well as intranet applications.
  • Supporting the developers by providing test environments.
  • Developing and implementing security and scalability concepts.
  • Monitoring the health of the whole infrastructure and continuously improve the systems performance in cooperation with the development team.
  • Managing the cloud infrastructure and writing scripts and configuration files for application deployments.
  • Developing backup / restore and failover strategies for our services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Advanced experience with Linux and used to work on the shell.
  • Familiarity with Docker.
  • Basic knowledge of at least 2 of the following languages: bash, php, python or perl.
  • Experience and knowledge about at least one monitoring system like Nagios, Icinga, or Munin.
  • Experience in using Postgres.
  • Readiness to take responsibility and creativity for complex problem solving.
  • Fluent or very good English skills oral and written.
Preferred Qualifications (optional)
  • Finished BS, MS or PhD in computer science, Physics, Maths or a similar technical field.
  • 2 years of working experience in a relevant position.
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and Start-ups.
  • Participation in open source project(s) or private/university projects.
  • Experience with Amazon AWS, Microsoft AKS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, ELK stack or nginx is highly welcome.
