PHP Web Developer stationed in Poland,

Place of work: Wrocław

Description:

The Developer will build webistes and enhance those in production. Also he/she will be responsible for troubleshooting both front end and back end code and developing feature enhancements.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure the Magento e-commerce platform

• Code feature enhancements for applications within the Magento framework

• Maintain existing or create new client websites; troubleshoot bug fixes in PHP and JavaScript code

• Prioritize and proactively manage the tickets that come through the queue

• Proactively communicate issues or delays to the lead

• Consult our clients on the best technical solutions that will solve their business problems

• Understand and effectively communicate e-commerce features and limitations with regard to design and development decisions

• Help manage the design and development process, drive decisions, and coordinate efforts with fellow Gorillas
  

Experience, Qualification and Skills:

• 3+ years of experience coding and maintaining web applications

• Significant PHP knowledge, including experience building object-oriented websites in PHP

• Familiarity in working with a PHP application framework, preferably either Zend or Symfony

• Familiarity with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern, and previous experience developing web applications using this pattern or on existing MVC frameworks

• Solid experience interacting with MySQL database systems through an abstraction layer in addition to the ability to write raw SQL queries

• Solid experience using PHP to create and consume web services (SOAP, XML-RPC) and/or other experience implementing data integrations within the platform

• Experience using debugger tools such as xDebug or Zend Debugger

• Experience working with the GIT version control system

• Front-end development experience with Javascript skills (including frameworks/libraries such as jQuery, Prototype, ExtJS, Dojo), as well as familiarity with accepted CSS and HTML design standards

• Experience using Linux command line (bash, zsh); experience with webserver (nginx, apache) maintenance

• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to smoothly transition between different tasks and projects
