We are looking for second System and (tiny) Network Administrator skilled in managing Linux-based infrastructure, who is not afraid to make his hands dirty with some Python, Perl or other script programming.
You would join forces with our present Administrator to design, implement, maintain and administer Spartez infrastructure and IT services:
- Network connectivity, including office WiFi and VPN connections
- Disaster recovery procedures
- Several production services including Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo instances and their databases, hosted internally, in the Cloud and dedicated external servers
- Automated deployment, monitoring and disaster prevention systems
Secondary duties:
- Sharing knowledge with developers on setting up development servers (configuration, setting up network layout, best practices)
- Driving usage and security policies
- Introducing new innovative services and improving existing practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience managing production systems
- English language - level sufficient for daily communication with non-polish speaking coworkers and partners
- Ability to code scripts in any language for administration automation and data retrieval
- Good command of tools and techniques necessary to perform primary duties
- Good understanding of internet protocols and Linux operating system
- Knowledge of standard IT policies backed by ability to assess which ones are applicable to particular situations
- "Can do" attitude
- Work permit in Poland
Nice to have skills:
- Understanding of different virtualization technologies (VirtualBox, VMware, Docker)
- Automation tooling (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Experience with VPS and related (Amazon, Heroku, etc)
- Administering Java (Tomcat) based servers (GC tuning, thread pool size tuning etc)
- General purpose coding (esp SQL, data processing, web based reporting)
- Understanding of implications of using Cloud services vs Hosted
Remuneration:
- 13700 - 17800 PLN gross per month for senior positions
