Analyst Developer (Web Development)

Job Description:

Currently, we are looking for an Analyst Developer who will carry out a project for our Client - one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world, providing a comprehensive range of financial services to around 60 million customers. It is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in digital / online media / financial services, translation and localization to maximize the customer journey in their local language. The role will require strong knowledge of localization, translation tools and customer experience trends across the globe as well as digital and online media technologies.

Main tasks:

Support delivery of the Approved Order Book projects and BAU;
Lead development for large/complex projects to agreed timescales and standards;
Conduct peer reviews to ensure standards are followed;
Prepare all documents as per quality procedures;
Performing / providing support for testing;
Should deliver considering the operational risk associated with the role
Maintain expert knowledge in required technology area across multiple platforms;
Start to build strong decision-making and problem solving skills within the required technology area across multiple platforms;
Conduct peer reviews to ensure standards are followed;
Ensure implementation on time and in budget with appropriate quality according to user requirements;
Develop and deliver through the Agile project methodology.
Requirements:
Experience and in-depth knowledge of: Web UI (HTML, CSS, JavaScript); Ajax; JSON; Dojo;
Understanding of the development and testing principles, processes and methodologies (OOP, Agile);
Knowledge of Web Development Practices including WCAG/W3C and Release Processes;
An understanding of distributed revision control systems and platforms: RTC, git;
Understanding of the digital brands and channels and a passion for the online customer experience;
The ability to use initiative and have an excellent level of attention to detail;
The ability to work in a pressurised and constantly changing environment to tight timescales;
Fluent English.


Optional skills:

Following experience will be a plus: jQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS, Dojo, NodeJSJava; J2EE (Servlets, JSPs, etc); Maven; Spring;
Knowledge of scripting language (Perl, Bash, Python) will be an asset.
