IT System Engineer – Windows Application Virtualisation Engi

Do you enjoy solving problems? Do you know how to juggle multiple projects effectively? We're looking for someone like that who can:
• Integrate application virtualization techniques and technology into UBS's application delivery system
• Understand how vendor virtualization technologies like App-V and AppVolumes work
• Build application virtualization solution to assist with the installation of software packages
• Provide packaging standards and guidance
• Write technical standards to support all integrated products
• Perform root cause analysis on incident and problem tickets (4th level)
• Liaise with vendors to resolve problems
• Analyze application performance
• Be responsible for the configuration of software within our configuration management systems
• Design solutions to fill any gaps in vendor products Your team
You'll be working in the EUS Engineering Client Engineering team in Wroclaw. Our role is to architect, design and implement application virtualization technologies into the UBS Windows Client platform that is used by all of the UBS employees worldwide. The team is the group that 'writes the manual' not reads the manual and is responsible for the configuration, security and maintenance of the software on the Windows Client platform on laptops, desktops and virtualized systems.

Your experience and skills
You have:
• Strong understanding of Windows operating system and architecture (Windows 7 onwards, Citrix and some knowledge of Windows Server)
• Strong understanding of Application integration and packaging (Skill around MSI and packaging tools)
• Experience of virtualization technologies such as App-V, AppVolumes
• Experience of application installation of products like Office, Java, Adobe, etc
• Talented at Root Cause Analysis, Problem Management with clear examples based on experience
• Experience of programming concepts and scripting skills for automating administrative tasks
• Knowledge of Windows stability and associated troubleshooting techniques (SysInternal tools, GPO Tools, etc)
• ITIL v3 know-how
