C/C++ Linux Software Developer

We are looking for a software engineer who will be responsible for developing end-to-end solutions of audio/video and streaming plus data processing. You will become a member of the team developing innovative solutions for digital TV world, cooperating with international group of experts on digital television, software development and data processing.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Code development, designing and developing headend and backend solutions based on Linux platforms
• Prototyping solutions based on new technologies
• Implementation of programming tasks
• Close cooperation with teams of architects and product managers
• Creating technical documentation (documenting software interfaces)

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Advanced skills in C/C++ programming (structural and object-oriented)
• Linux programming (kernel-space programming as an advantage)
• Experience in programming HTTP/Apache modules
• Real-time multi-thread and multi-process programming
• English – reading, writing technical documentation

ADDITIONAL SKILLS WELCOME:

• Experience with scripting languages (Shell , Bash, PERL, Python)
• Knowledge of Digital TV (DVB, TCP/IP, H.264, streaming protocols RTP,RTSP, RTCP, HTTP, OTT, HLS)
• Basic knowledge of software application protocols (SOAP, XML (XSD, DTD), REST/JSON)
• Basic skills in other popular programming languages (Java, SQL)
• Knowledge of source code version control systems – CVS, SVN, Git
• Basic knowledge of relational database issues (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Independence and commitment, ability to look for a solution
