Senior Unix/ Linux Administrator

Duration of the contract: 1 year This role's responsibility is day to day Linux/Unix 2nd and 3rd level support. Senior Linux/Unix System Administrators will provide enterprise-wide Unix System infrastructure support for complex system and interconnected technologies that require day-today support and administration in order to maintain optimum performance and utilization.

Responsiblities:
• Install the server operating system, system management software and operating system utilities
• Manage High Availability solutions
• Manage virtualization
• Support the server operating system, system management software and operating system utilities, including upgrades and migrations
• Manage the operating system configuration
• Recommend operating system updates and configuration modification
• Maintain tools for remote management and alert monitoring
• Maintain the hardware and software configuration server information
• Responsibility for leading the implementation and support of the infrastructure
• Partners with the IT Architect during the initial stages of the projects/solutions to ensure the accuracy of business cases

Requirements:
Key skills:
• Linux (at least 6 years of experience in two of these technologies)
• AIX/Solaris (2-3 years of experience)
• Networking (at least 3 years of experience)
• Virtualization (at least 3 years of experience)
• Storage (at least 3 years of experience)
• LDAP (preferably Oracle LDAP) - good understanding
• Middleware (MQ,Tuxedo) - good to have
Other Skills/Abilities:
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Problem Determination & analysis skills

• English: Fluent
