Vmware/Windows system engineer

Accountability:

This position is responsible for designing, managing and providing 2nd and 3rd level of support for global Vmware and Windows infrastructure including participation in global infrastructure projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Designing, managing and supporting VMWare and Microsoft technologies in large environments (including performance issues resolution and optimization tasks)

Managing and performing implementation for technical solutions created

Participating in technical projects§Designing and preparing technical documentation and reports§Closely cooperating with local and global IT teams§Managing the automation and configuration management
Knowledge and Background:

University degree in Information Technology or Computer Science

 Minimum of 4 to 6+ years of professional experience with Microsoft and Vmware solutions§Comprehensive knowledge of multi-site Vmware 5.x/6x environment (100+ hosts)

Advanced knowledge of Windows 2012/2008 Server administration and troubleshooting

Knowledge of Vmware licensing model and ability to optimize it to meet business requirements

Proven experience creating and documenting complex solutions

Planning, organizational and operating skills

Proficient in scripting (PowerShell)§VCP certification (VCAP preferred)

MCTP certification (MCSE preferred)

Communicative in English

ITIL foundation knowledge as a plus
