Responsibilities:
  • Develop clean, modular, reusable code
  • Innovate and enhance on core site functionality
  • Advance engineering team efficiencies through process improvement
  • Communicate effectively across desks / teams / departments
  • Mentor fellow engineers
  • Guide stakeholders, taking their business vision to technical reality
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams driving smart, clean solutions
  • Work in a team using agile development methodology (Scrum, continuous integration, planning games, daily stand up, etc).

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in UI/Front-end development with a solid knowledge of JavaScript / AJAX / HTML / CSS
  • Strong experience in building web applications using the latest standards-based approaches (HTML5, CSS3)
  • Server side language experience
  • Proven NodeJS/ Express programming skills
  • Strong understanding of MVC patterns
  • Source Control Management
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering

What would be a Plus:

  • Knowledge of JavaScript design patterns and frameworks such as Backbone, Ember.js, Angular, Handlebars, Underscore
  • Knowledge of what is required to develop high performance web applications
