IT Windows System Management Engineer

• integrate infrastructure to support virtualization techniques and technologies into UBS.
• define migration plans to upgrade existing Systems Management Infrastructure
• write technical standards to support all integrated products
• perform root cause analysis on incident and problem tickets (4th level)
• liaise with vendors to resolve problems
• analyze application performance (infrastructure delivery)
• be responsible for the configuration of the Infrastructure Service within our systems management tools
• design solutions and develop to fill any gaps in vendor products Your team
You'll be working in the EUS Engineering Client Engineering team in Wroclaw. Our role is to architect, design and implement application hosting infrastructure to support a virtualization strategy for the UBS Windows Client platform that is used by all of the UBS employees worldwide. The team is the group that 'writes the manual' not reads the manual and is responsible for the configuration, security and maintenance of the software on the Windows infrastructure and Client platforms (laptops, desktops, thin clients and virtualized systems).

Your experience and skills
You have:
– expertise in System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 and 2012 for
• package distribution and management
• SCCM client management and remediation and ensuring clients connect to local resources
• software updates scanning and deployment
• wake on LAN
• operating system deployment and general task sequences
• inventory extensions
– experience in engineering for migration from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012
– expert in Microsoft App-V 5.x infrastructure and sequencing technologies including
• user targeting on VDI machines
• virtual Application lifecycle management
– scripting ability - this is critical – primarily with PowerShell
– familiarity with the ConfigMgr SQL database schema - experience with SQL Reporting Services is a plus
– expertise in designing large scale infrastructures, with high availability and failover, in the enterprise
– strong troubleshooting mindset (i.e. parsing event log, sysinternals tools, etc.)
– strong understanding of Windows operating system and architecture (Windows 7 onwards, Citrix and Windows Server)
– ability to write technical and operational management documentation (system design and engineering documents, operational runbooks)
